A Gratitude Day of Community Spirit: Gratitude’s Annual Mince Pies for the Homeless

On 23rd December 2024, Gratitude Charity’s hub was buzzing with activity as a brilliant team of volunteers came together for a truly heartwarming mission: baking 1008 mince pies for the homeless. This annual initiative highlighted the incredible power of community during the festive season.

Volunteers from Canada Life (5), Premier Foods (4), and Barnet Football Club (3) joined forces with 6 of Gratitude’s own amazing volunteers, creating a dynamic and enthusiastic team. Tasks were shared with much laughter and plenty of festive cheer, ensuring the mince pies were made with care and love.

The atmosphere was one of camaraderie, with volunteers bonding over their shared goal. Many said they’d love to come back and help with future projects, showing just how rewarding the day had been for everyone involved.

The mince pies were passed on to Project Giving, who will distribute them directly to those living on the streets, offering a little comfort and festive joy to those in need.
