On Sunday April 2nd, Gratitude ran an Egg-cellent Easter Egg Hunt at Maxwell Park.
Organised by our wonderful volunteers from Gratitude’s Kids Corner, who had been busy for weeks drawing up plans for the maps and setting up locations for hiding the eggs.
About 150 children took part, and each was presented with a basket and 6 cryptic clues to help them find all of the eggs. The eager kids, unfazed by the mud, set off to look for the eggs.
Every child who found the eggs received a personalized certificate, a drink, a snack, an Easter egg, and offered a lucky dip prize, which helped raise money for Gratitude.
The team was overwhelmed by so many egg-cited kids and enjoyed sharing delicious chocolate eggs kindly donated by our supporters from Taylor Wimpey, Amazon and Sky Cares. The kids were so excited, had such a fun afternoon and didn’t care about their muddy boots!
We would like to thank our amazing volunteers John, Beata, Barbara, Victoria (Barbara’s daughter), Claire, Sam, Masda and Lal for supporting this initiative. A lot of creativity and organisation goes into running an event like this and we are proud of them all.
Thanks to everyone who attended the wonderful event, and Happy Easter to our wonderful community.

At our Hub
We were grateful that we were also able to give every child who visited the hub on Easter Sunday with a delicious Easter egg. The children were delighted to receive their eggs from our beautiful Easter Bunnies.
It was great to see the wonderfully decorated Easter Bonnets expertly decorated by our Gratitude Kids.

At Barnet Hospital
On Easter Sunday and Monday afternoon the team delivered Easter Eggs to the children on the wards at Barnet General Hospital. The Gratitude Creative Club also donated bags of knitted clothing to the patients on the wards. We are grateful for the blessings of our volunteers and the good feeling from giving at this special time of year.
Special thank you to one of our youngest volunteers Patrick, who was very happy and touched that he could cheer up the children in the hospital as the Easter Bunny.
