Coats for refugees

The Gratitude Hub just had two excellent visitors from Hopetowns charity. This group provides opportunities for refugees and non-refugee volunteers in the UK, to support people in the Calais camp and elsewhere in Europe. Many of them arrive only with the clothes that are on their back. So Samuel and Mattasen were very grateful for these big bags of coats, jackets and raincoats.

These will be distributed to refugees that are housed throughout the area. He and Samuel have come here from Sudan. So warm coats are literally a Godsend.

Many conversations we had about philosophy and Liverpool football club and the excellent performance of Mohammed Salah.

We need to say a huge thank you to Valerie and Beata (our new volunteers, who only started recently) for sorting the clothes by sizes today, as they were very happy to receive a sorted collection of clothes.
