A wonderful email from the Gratitude’s website inbox:
My 12 year old daughter and I are currently in temporary accomodation in Shenwood Court, whilst we are waiting to be rehoused by the council.
We have been blessed by the kindness and generosity of Gratitude numerous times since moving into Shenwood Court at the beginning of August and this morning, as we were on our way out of the building, I was called into the office and invited to choose a gift from Gratitude for Mother’s Day!
I cannot tell you the difference that your acts of kindness have made to both my daughter and I, or how grateful we are for these kind acts.
Being made homeless after living in the same privately rented accomodation for almost 9 years was horrendous and it can be incredibly difficult living in temporary accomodation with shared facilities and a limited sense of security. Gratitude’s kindness in donating treats such as cakes and pastries has cheered our morning many times and has really made the difference in helping us start the day off on the right foot.
Receiving such a kind, thoughtful and generous gift for Mother’s Day was beyond amazing and 12 hours later, I am still looking at the lovely selection of treats and smiling!
Thank you so much for your wonderful kindness – it really is greatly appreciated.
