The Mitzvah Day awards ceremony at the Jewish Museum was a night of celebration and recognition for the many individuals and organizations who make a difference in the community. Gratitude charity was delighted the receive a special Beneficiary Charity award.
Our founding trustee, Sheila Carlisle, was on hand to accept the award on behalf all who supported the Sowing the Seeds of Love Project for Mitzvah day 2022. Thanks go to Gratitude volunteers, Folia Europe Ltd, Garden-on-a-roll, Jacques Amand Intl. and Councillor Dan Ozarow. The team joined forces with local schools, and volunteers from interfaith organisations, all who made the project a great success. This project brought children, families and people from different backgrounds together to aid local biodiversity, improve the environment and counteract climate change by planting bulbs in and around the Herfordshire area.

Sheila would like to thank Mitzvah Day for the award and for all the work they do to promote social action.

“We are so grateful to receive this award,” Sheila said. “It is a testament to the hard work of our volunteers and the generosity of our donors. We could not do what we do without them.”
